Creating a HTTP Status code monitor on MonitorUptime.IO
  • Go to MonitorsCreate monitor.
  • Enter your sites details, URL / IP address and select fitting ping locations.
  • Select notification methods to be used if any problems is discovered.
  • Click Create.

By default the monitor will require a 200-status response. But you are also able to modify the expected response code.

Select expected Response status code
  • Click the `Custom Response button´.
  • Type the expected response code into the `Response status code´ field.
  • Click Create.

HTTP status codes are three-digit numbers returned by servers to indicate the status of a client's request. Our service is able to monitor the response from a client's website, which can include HTTP status codes like:

  • 200 OK: The request has succeeded, and the information returned with the response is dependent on the method used in the request.
  • 301 Moved Permanently: The requested resource has been assigned a new permanent URI and any future references to this resource should use one of the returned URIs.
  • 302 Found: The requested resource resides temporarily under a different URI.
  • 401 Unauthorized: The request requires user authentication.
